Biography

Dr. Koch (pronounced "cook") earned his master's degree in medical physics in 2002 from M. D. Anderson Cancer Center and the University of Texas Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences while researching the use of cine MRI imaging to evaluate the correlation between the motions of the lung and external surrogates.  He re-enrolled in the Ph.D. program to study analytical and Monte Carlo based dose calculation engines for ocular proton therapy.  Dr. Koch came to MUSC after completing his Ph.D. research in 2006.
