PPRNet - Primary (Care) Practices Research Network

PPRNet is an AHRQ-sponsored Center for Primary Care Practice-Based Research and Learning.  As part of our mission to improve health care in our member practices while conducting research important for the entire primary health care system, PPRNet researchers produce publications to disseminate evidence-based research findings. The quality of PPRNet's research and its experienced investigators have enabled PPRNet to receive funding by Federal agencies including the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), NIH National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAA) and the National Cancer Institute (NCI).

"The research projects we have been involved in have helped either directly or cross fertilize the team's knowledge and ability to improve our quality data in many other areas.""Being involved in PPRNet has reenergized our practice. Having real data to look at that tells us where we are doing well and what we need to work on is extremely valuable, plus the PPRNet improvement model really works.""The research arm of PPRNET has benefited, not only our own practices, but practices nationwide as study results have been published on such important areas as Medication Safety, Alcohol Screening for At-Risk Drinking and Judicious Use of
Antibiotics."
