PPRNet Presentation – An introduction for new and prospective members Click here Translating research Into practice Congratulations to Lynne Nemeth of PPRNet and the doctors and staff from New London Family Medicine for their video "Electronic Standing Orders Empower Medical Staff and Improve Delivery of Care." Check out the video or read more at: http://healthit.ahrq.gov/portal/server.pt/community/ahrq-funded_projects/654/featured_projects/21116. About us Established in 1995 as a collaborative effort between the Department of Family Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), Practice Partner/McKesson in Seattle, WA and participating practices, PPRNet is a practice based research network (PBRN) that strives to improve the quality of healthcare in its member practices and elsewhere in the US. The network is unique from other PBRNs in the sense that all of our members use Practice Partner, Lytec, or MediSoft's Electronic Health Records systems to capture their patient information. PPRNet has 3 primary aims: Our network strives to achieve these aims by providing members with quarterly performance reports on nearly 100 clinical measures, by conducting federally funded research projects involving our member practices, and by hosting annual network meetings that allow members to discuss and share "best practice" approaches. Currently, PPRNet has 224 physician practices, representing over 1,219 health care providers, and approximately 2 million patients located in 44 states. Its members consist of 72% Family Medicine physicians, 23% of Internal Medicine physicians and 5% specialty or other type practices. Interested in joining PPRNet?
