In spite of incurring over $600,000 in budget cuts during FY09,
the division grew a remarkable $1,016,730 in total revenue
compared to the prior year. The Kids Summer and Holiday
Camps were especially successful this year, generating $138,733. These fitness camps promote the benefits of a healthy lifestyle, a true health advantage to children in the Charleston community.
During FY09, Education and Student Life provided $295,024
of direct funding to MUSC students through scholarships and
Student Government Association support at the university and
college levels. The division also provided financial support to our student body by offering a number of part-time supplemental instruction and temporary positions in Academic Support Services, the Student Programs Office and the Wellness Center.
