Jim Tomsic inducted into the Bridge Run Hall of Fame
James “Jim” Tomsic, Fitness Director at the MUSC Wellness Center has been recognized for his outstanding contribution and 17 years of involvement in the Cooper River Bridge Run.
Jim comfortably handles a multitude of tasks related to the run that has grown to almost 40,000 participants. Everything from packet assembly prior to the event to collecting chips at the finish line, Jim has done it all. His tireless efforts to get the packets assembled in time for distribution has changed significantly over the years. Starting in the small classroom behind the weight room in the MUSC Wellness Center, moving to the gymnasium as the event has grown, to now managing packet distribution at Gaillard Auditorium. Whether it is managing 40,000 t-shirts or answering a runner’s question, Jim approaches it all with a smile and calm demeanor. Congratulations, Jim, and thank you for being a MUSC hero! HOME
