Valerie West, Ed.D., received the highest University honor at Convocation, the Distinguished Faculty Service Award at the Faculty Convocation on January 19th.

In recognition of her nearly 40 years of outstanding service, the Associate Provost was presented with a citation by her peers at the annual event marking the beginning of the academic year.

Among the achievements receiving recognition in the presentation were her services twice as Interim Dean of the College of Health Professions, leadership of the Presidential Scholars program, and the establishment of the Creating Collaborative Care program that is a critical part of the recent SACS accreditation.  Also recognized were her leadership in directing the renovations of the Education Center/Library Building and Colcock Hall.
