DESS Annual Report wins regional design award

Printing Industries of the Carolinas award In addition to being an informative and attractive publication, this year's annual report for the Division of Education and Student Support can add yet another feather to it's cap. The publication recently earned a PICA award.

PICA, or Printing Industries of the Carolinas is a regional affiliate of the Printing Industries of America (PIA) and the Graphic Arts Technical Foundation (GATF). Since 1966, the PICA Awards have been the premier symbol of excellence for the graphics industry in the Carolinas.

Whether it's a Best of Category, Special Judges Award, or an Award of Excellence, winning a PICA is a great honor!

The DESS Annual Report earned a Best in Category award in the category for digtally printed books of 32 pages or more.

The publication was created by the DESS Communications group utilizing resources from throughtout the Division. It was designed by Thomas Hamm II and the booklet was printed by Sun Printing of Orangeburg, SC.
