Davis Published in Yale Journal for Humanities in Medicine Congratulations to Melissa Davis, a 2009 College of Medicine graduate. Melissa has published an essay titled “A Day in the Life of Education” in the Yale Journal for Humanities in Medicine. The essay was written as an assignment for the interprofessional course Healthcare and the Humanities, developed under the leadership of Tom Waldrep, Executive Director of Academic Support Services, and co-directed by Dr. Lisa Kerr from The Writing Center and Center for Academic Excellence and Dr. Jeffrey Wong from the College of Medicine. For the past three years, students in the course have read literature related to health care and written personal essays about clinical experiences. Each year the directors have encouraged all students to revise and edit their essays with an eye on publication. Melissa enthusiastically pursued that goal, and we are delighted to congratulate her on this achievement.
