Darlene L. Shaw, Ph.D.
Associate Provost for Education and Student Life

Dr. Shaw will assume the duties of Associate Provost for Education and Student Services March 1, 2009. She joined the Medical University of South Carolina in 1976 as an instructor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, serving the university in a number of important leadership roles since then, being promoted to full Professor in 2000. Serving as Associate Dean for Student Life from 1993 through 2003 and Executive Director for Student Health and Wellness from 2005 to the present, Dr. Shaw has made many contributions to the Division of Education and Student Services in her career to date. As a Division we look forward to her leadership and experience in her new role.
