The Occupational Therapy program is based in the College of Health Professions. This innovative program has been hailed as "cutting edge" by many colleges and universities throughout the country. OTs are trained to empower their clients to resume old or assume new life roles. The OT skillfully assesses a client's abilities and limitations, and then designs an individualized treatment plan to increase skills and thus improve quality of life. U.S. News & World Report has ranked the Occupational Therapy program at MUSC as 17th in the nation (top 10%).
Applicants admitted to the program will be selected from college and university students who have or will have completed a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3.0 cumulative GPA. Additional requirements can be found at http://academicdepartments.musc.edu/chp/ot/admissions.htm
In addition to the application itself the applicant must complete supplemental reference materials specific to the program to which they are applying. These forms are available in PDF format within the application and are also sent through email once an application is submitted. Applicants are required to submit official transcripts from each post-secondary school attended and all materials must be received by the application deadline.
