Theme: Aging: From Cell to Society
The South Carolina Aging Research Network, SCARN, is a multi-institutional consortium of geriatric disciplines working together to utilize researchers' expertise and push forward a research agenda benefiting South Carolina seniors. There are two appointed SCARN members from MUSC, University Hospital, University of South Carolina, Clemson, Palmetto Health, and the Greenville Hospital System.

Respite Care Charleston 8th Annual Golf TournamentMarch 19, 2012Seabrook Island

The 8th Annual Golf Tournament for Respite Care Charleston will be held March 19, 2012 on Seabrook Island. Money raised during the tournament will be used to offset the costs of providing care and support to families affected by Alzheimer’s disease or a related form of dementia.
 
Tournament sponsorships are available from $100 to $5,000 but any size donation is welcome and appreciated. Golfers may register as a team or as individuals either on-line at

The next IANA meeting will be held on July 12 & 13, 2012 in Albuquerque (USA) The meeting will focus on Nutrition and Age Related Diseases including Sarcopenia, Cognitive decline, Frailty, Alzheimer, Long-term Care, Biomarkers imaging therapeutics trial nutrition, intervention...
