This center provides non-emergency care for adults and children, transportation from the 5 major labor camps on John’s Island for a small fee, OBGYN services, family planning, and WIC programs. Some form of id or a “chueca” is required.  Payment can be made on a sliding scale (bring in a pay stub or a letter of income from your employer.) The center also has an outreach program, Migrant Health Program, which provides prescription delivery and medical care to the fields.  In addition, the center provides children’s day care, housing, home health visits, and senior nutrition counseling.

They also offer ESL classes, after school programs, assistance with preparing for the GED, parenting and budgeting classes,

LPC provides complimentary pregnancy testing, caring peer counseling, explanation of abortion procedures and alternatives, limited obstetrical ultrasounds, post abortion support, referral services-community agencies and adoption services, material assistance for mother and bayb, parenting classes, prenatal care referrals, perinatal bereavement counseling.  All services are confidential and complimentary.

Free training one night a week for 10 weeks covering topics including how investigations are conducted and jail and court procedures. Attorneys are on hand to answer questions about immigration procedures. Must be 21 years old and undergo a background check (criminal only).  No questions are asked about documentation.
