Who We Are The Alliance for Hispanic Health of MUSC was created to provide a forum for MUSC students, faculty, and staff to collaborate to address the health needs of the Hispanic community including health care services, cultural awareness, student needs and recruitment, and research. The purposes of the Alliance for Hispanic Health are the following: 1. To facilitate the exchange of information and ideas between students, faculty, and staff of the six colleges of MUSC to better meet the needs of the Hispanic community of Charleston. 2. To facilitate communication between MUSC and community wide healthcare organizations that serve the Hispanic community. 3. To take action to improve the quality of health care programs provided to the Hispanic community and academic programs provided to healthcare professionals and students who serve the Hispanic community. 4. To sponsor and participate in events and community service projects to promote the health and well being of the Hispanic community of Charleston including health care services, cultural awareness, student needs and recruitment, and research. Founded in November of 2004, we are a group celebrating over seven years of service and collaboration through networking and outreach.
