Who you help: The Camden Scott Meyer Pediatric Fund was established in 2003 to honor the memory of a baby boy, a way to turn his sudden death into an opportunity to help countless local children break through the limitations of disabilities. Since the fund’s establishment, more than 600 physical and occupational therapy students from MUSC’s College of Health Professions have trained in the Camden Scott Meyer Pediatric Laboratory. Those students have gone on to provide outreach more than 1,375 children with disabilities. And for nearly twenty years, more than 100 infants and toddlers with special needs have attended for Camp Hand to Hands, a free play-based therapy program.

In the future we intend to take that work even further, but our dream depends on private donations. A gift to the Camden Scott Meyer Pediatric Fund would provide critical support for pediatric research, continued education and outreach for students and therapists and adaptive equipment so that children with disabilities can enjoy bicycles and toy cars.
