| Department of Health Sciences and Research The Department of Health Sciences and Research is an integral part of the College of Health Professions. As such it joins the college in its service to the citizens of the state, region, and nation by providing an environment to foster research and scholarship. The department’s primary missions are to increase extramural funding for the college and provide research related academic programs in research administration (Master of Research Administration), health administration and policy (Doctor of Health Administration), and health and rehabilitation science (Doctor of Philosophy in Health and Rehabilitation Science). The Center for Health Economics and Policy and the Program on Movement and Exercise Rehabilitation Research are research centers within the department.
Through its campus-based and outreach initiatives the department serves as a resource for citizens and health professionals across the state. It strives to answer the important research questions and develop new knowledge for the delivery of health care to a diverse population.
