Crocheting for preemies
Women from the Velonaki Crochet Ladies Group of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church spent their time creating and preparing more than 300 sets of baby bundles (baby blankets, booties and hats) as Christmas gifts for MUSC's smallest patients of the NICU unit. Sharing a holiday gift with others
The family of Bradley Steven Blake and Bradley Blake Foundation svisited the Children's Hospital Dec. 13 to distribute stuffed animals and books to Children's Hospital patients as part of the annual Bradley Blake Christmas at MUSC. Blake was fatally wounded around Christmas 2012. The family supports this event each year to support families and non-violence and restoring lives in the community. photo provided
Elks Lodge collects teddy bears for Children's Hospital
Charleston Elks Lodge #242 member Scott Walton, left, joined Children's Hospital's Lacey McInish and Melissa Kubu, and Bob Mock as they presented a check from proceeds of their Dec. 7 annual charity ball event. Battling for a cause
Hollings Cancer Center welcomed Lowcountry Firefighters Dec. 19 who spread some holiday cheer and distributed stuffed animals to patients andf staff Dec. 19. The firefighters also presented HCC with a $2,000 check from proceeds of their Nov. 24 Battle of the Badges flag football game pitting Tri-county firefighters and policemen. photo provided
