Mayor to open Brain Tumor FairTweet
The Brain Tumor Action Fair will take place from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., April 29 in the MUSC Horseshoe.
May is nationally recognized as Brain Tumor Awareness Month. The MUSC Brain & Spine Tumor program takes action to raise awareness in the community about brain tumors and the need for research funding.
The fair begins with the opening ceremony led by guest speaker Charleston Mayor Joseph P. Riley, Jr.
The free event will include live music, food vendors and a chance to dunk Dr. Sunil Patel, clinical chair of neurosciences, for $5. In addition, each support services group will have a table with volunteers to answer questions and T-shirts will be on sale.
