The facility, scheduled to be completed by December, will have 10 exam rooms with digital X-ray capabilities and be approximately 5,500 square feet.

According to John Sanders, The Children’s Hospital of South Carolina administrator, the after hours program supports the local pediatricians and primary care physicians and gives easy access to the children’s hospital.

“We are very pleased to continue our specialized care to the community and have a physical presence in the Summerville area. All children deserve a children’s hospital,” he said.

The hours of the clinic will be from 4 to 10 p.m., Monday through Friday and noon to 7 p.m., Saturday, Sunday and holidays. During the morning specialty clinics will be offered.

Other clinics are located in Mount Pleasant and North Charleston.
