Nursing faculty honored at The White House


College of Nursing’s Dr. Ida J. Spruill was honored among 102 researchers as recipients of the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers at an April 14 ceremony held in Washington, D.C. Spruill, and other research awardees, received U.S. Government’s  highest honor bestowed on science and engineering professionals who are in the early stages of their independent research careers. Recipients are employed or funded by government agencies including the Department of Agriculture, Department of Defense, Department of Veterans Affairs and Department of Health and Human Services among other agencies. Spruill was among 23 researchers who receive funding support from the Department of Health and Human Services. photo by The White House
