MIC (Microbes in Command) Symposium at MUSC!

The MUSC Microbiology Interest Group is pleased to announce the MIC (Microbes In Command) Symposium. The goals of the Symposium are to increase awareness of current microbiology research, promote interdisciplinary collaborations in microbiology across campus, and highlight the impacts of microbial ecology on human health and the environment.

The day's events include a keynote presentation by Dr. Ken W. Bayles, Associate Vice Chancellor for Basic Science Research, University of Nebraska Medical Center. Presentations by investigators from MUSC and other research institutes in SC will address advances in microbial pathogenesis, antibiotic resistance, antibacterial drug discovery, and host-pathogen interactions. This event is open to all faculty and trainees interested in microbiology research.
