Dr. Helpern was recently featured in the MUSC Newsroom and on YouTube talking about how diffusional kurtosis imaging (DKI) is being used within the CBI to identify biomarkers and changes in the brain in Alzheimer's disease, ADHD, stroke and epilepsy.

Congratulations to Dr. Truman Brown!

Dr. Truman Brown has been selected to receive the Academy of Radiology Research’s 2013 Distinguished Investigator Award.  Dr. Brown holds the Stephen Schabel Endowed Chair in Radiology and serves as Scientific Director of the Center for Biomedical Imaging.  This prestigious honor recognizes imaging researchers for their significant contributions to scientific progress and medical innovation.  Please join us in congratulating Dr. Brown on this wonderful achievement.

Welcome to Sandy Bird!

Sandy has just joined the Radiology Research Division as the administrative assistant to all research faculty.  She will assist in scheduling appointments and maintaining calendars, leave requests, travel reimbursements and other everyday needs.
