Master of Science in Nurse Anesthesia

Clinical Education Sites

The clinical curriculum offers opportunities for diverse experiences in the management of anesthetics for both elective and emergency surgical procedures. Students will meet the program and National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) clinical requirements by utilizing a variety of anesthetic techniques for patients including: general anesthesia, regional anesthesia, and monitored anesthesia care. A wide array of clinical sites, throughout the South Carolina and Georgia, allows our students to experience anesthesia delivery in a variety of settings from rural medical centers to level-one trauma facilities. Students will spend approximately 50 - 60% of their clinical time at clinical sites 100 miles or greater from the MUSC. Clinical site rotations and estimated driving distances include:
