Distinguished Alumnus Award recipients welcomed back to college

MUSC President Dr. Raymond Greenberg and College of Health Professions Dean Dr. Lisa Saladin welcomed back 12 of the 23 College’s Distinguished Alumnus Award recipients during a luncheon in their honor on April 26. 

Professor Emerita Wins National Award

Dr. Anne Osborne Kilpatrick, long-time member of the MUSC family and professor emeritus from the Department of Healthcare Leadership and Management, was awarded the Joan Fiss Bishop Award at the Section for Women in Public Administration meeting in New Orleans.
Dr. Maralynne Mitcham receives Eleanor Clarke Slagle Award

Maralynne D. Mitcham, PhD, OTR/L, FAOTA, Professor and Assistant Dean received the 2013 Eleanor Clarke Slagle Lectureship Award at the AOTA Conference in San Diego in April.

American Physical Therapy Association's (APTA) Eugene Michels New Investigator Award

Dr. Mark Bowden received the American Physical Therapy Association's Eugene Michels New Investigator Award. This award is given annually to a rising star in Physical Therapy related research and recognizes independent thematic research “that will have a present or future impact upon the profession.”

MUSC Foundation Honors PT Professor Teaching Excellence

Four faculty members were honored for teaching excellence at MUSC’s annual Faculty Convocation on August 20 in the Drug Discovery Building auditorium.
