Classroom Upgrades

What do you get when you combine gifted educators, motivated students, and the latest developments in educational technology? Excellence in teaching and exceptional opportunities for learning, which you can observe at the College of Health Professions!

The College of Health Professions has always been committed to educational innovative. In keeping with this commitment, the college has begun work on a multi-year plan to upgrade the educational technology capabilities in all of the college’s classrooms, labs, and conference rooms. Over the next two years, our facilities will be upgraded with widescreen, multi-touch and interactive Smartboards and Sympodia, which allows for crystal clear, digital drawing and annotation during lectures. As well, all recording and video-streaming capabilities will be upgraded to High Definition (HD) format, improving the overall quality and detail of video images. Because video-conferencing with remote sites has accelerated so much over the last several years, all classrooms will be equipped with front-facing HD cameras, in addition to rear cameras, to improve communication between sites and to enhance interaction. And, to ensure the highest quality connectivity, fiber optic cabling will be installed throughout our facilities.

So far, three classrooms, two conference rooms, and the Master Control room has been upgraded, and we are thrilled with the results! Stop by any time for a tour of classrooms, and explore with us the opportunities enabled by this new technology!
