College of Health Professions E-Newsletter

Dean's Corner

You would be amazed at all the great things happening at the College of Health Professions.  And, we consider you a special part of our success!

What a joy it has been to connect with many of you at our recent events around the State, the region and at national meetings. Thank you for your continued support and partnership.

As you may know, the College of Health Professions is experiencing tremendous growth. We have the largest Alumni base of any other College on the campus of MUSC. And, we are proud to attract the best and brightest students totaling just over 800 – which also gives us the largest student body on campus!

I recently attended the National Physical Therapy Annual Conference in Salt Lake City, Utah and upon my return, I wanted to remind you how important your membership and participation in your own professional associations are. This is a critical time for health care and professional membership keeps you informed on the latest health policy issues and how they might affect you, your profession, and the patients you serve. It is also a great place to develop leadership skills and network with colleagues around shared challenges. If you are not an active member of your professional association, please consider joining now. You won’t regret it!

Building and maintaining a relationship with you is of the utmost importance to me.  Please keep in touch and let us know how you are doing and how we can be of assistance to you.  You are invited to visit the College and keep in touch.  In fact, we have included some direct phone numbers and emails for your convenience.

Best wishes for a great fall season,

Lisa K. Saladin, PT, PhD

Professor and Dean
