This summer the MUSC’s College of Health Profession’s third year PT students, along with the Anchors Away and Achieving Wheelchair Equality organizations, hosted two water sports expos for people with disabilities.
Nathan Mansell, Physical Therapy student, began volunteering in 2008 for the Hot Dog Ministry, an event held four days a week in an empty lot on Meeting Street between Lee and Jackson streets. During the evenings, volunteers take grills and cook up hundreds of hot dogs for homeless men, women and children in the area.
Mary Benedict and Rudy Mosketti, second year physical therapy students, have been chosen as MUSC Presidential Scholars for the 2013-2014 academic year.
Dr. Sara Kraft, Assistant Professor in the Division of Physical Therapy, has experienced teaching awards in triplets this academic year by garnering 3 teaching excellence awards.
Dr. Mark Bowden received the Eugene Michels New Investigator Award from the APTA at the Annual Scientific Meeting in Salt Lake City.
