Lowcountry AHEC Co-Hosts "Mingling at the Museum" in Walterboro

On Thursday evening, January 23, 2014, Dean Lisa Saladin and several Medical University of South Carolina, College of Health Professions’ faculty and staff gathered with the college’s local alumni at the newly restored Colleton Museum and Farmer’s Market in Walterboro, SC.

A Young Patient's Journey

Miss Malika Tolton is a very dear patient at the MUSC CARES Therapy Clinic. The CARES Clinic is a medical student-initiated and managed non-profit organization providing free medical care to underserved, uninsured population in the local Charleston area. The CARES Clinic opened its doors in 2005, providing free primary care to individuals without insurance.
