If you are a graduate of the College of Health Professions interested in establishing a meaningful relationship with your alma mater or a student of the College of Health Professions looking for career guidance, the College of Health Professions’ Office of Student Services in conjunction with the Office of Alumni Affairs offers a rewarding opportunity. As a student progressing through your academic career toward career opportunities, you may greatly benefit from the experiences of an alumnus who is established in a particular field or discipline. As an alumnus who is established in your profession, you may be at a point in your career at which you can pass on the benefits of your experience to a student. The Alumni Connections program is designed to pair students in search of career guidance with successful alumni who are willing to share their expertise and experience. Students are matched with successful graduates based on common interests or an intended career path. The relationship between the student and the CHP alumnus is then allowed to develop naturally and may evolve in ways such as career guidance, advice, networking opportunities, potential rotations/internships, and/or volunteer opportunities. The Alumni Connections program puts students and alumni together, and together you decide how to shape your interactions to meet your goals. The student and alumni advisor together decide when, where and how often to meet. The benefits to participating alumni include: - giving back to one’s own profession and alma mater
