College of Health Professions Research Council

The research council was established to identify college wide directions of research and to facilitate collaboration throughout the college and university.  As a preliminary step in building collaborations, a research development seminar series was established. Two primary types of presentations in the development series include:

(a) investigator presentations of projects under development with the goal of
strengthening project design and identifying collaborators and

(b) presentations describing resources available to support research. For instance, the seminar series was initiated by Dr. David Bradford, the Director of the Center for Health Economic and Policy Studies (CHEPS), who described available resources for building economic components into research designs.

Members of the research council include the chair, James Krause, PhD, who serves as the Associate Dean for Clinical Research, the chair of each of the three departments including Glen Askins, MD, (Clinical Services), Jennifer Horner, PhD, JD, (Rehabilitation Sciences), and Jim Zoller, PhD, (Health Administration and Policy), and and representative faculty incuding David Bradford, PhD, (Director of the Center for Health Economic and Policy Studies), Paul Jacques, EdM, PA-C, (Associate Chair for Clinical Services), Kit Simpson, DrPH, (Program for Rsearch Outcomes), David Morrisette, PT,PhD, (Associate Professor, Rehabilitation Sciences) and Hon Yuen, PhD, (Associate Professor, Rehabilitation Sciences).
