Affiliations and Clinical Rotations
The MUSC Cardiovascular Perfusion faculty provides the clinical perfusion services at MUSC and the VAMC. The Ralph Johnson Veterans Administration Medical Center (VAMC) is a 401-bed general medical and surgical hospital. The VAMC is a Dean's Committee hospital and maintains a close liaison between it’s’ staff and the staff at MUSC. The VAMC is regulated and monitored by the national Veterans Administration.
MUSC Hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. All South Carolina health care facilities, including Cardiovascular Perfusion affiliates, are monitored and regulated by the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC).
Students will be required to attend seven week out-of-town rotations where room and board will be the responsibility of the student.
