Jason - Masters in Health Administration Student Ambassador

My name is Jason and I am a student in the Masters in Health Administration program, residential track.  I moved to Charleston from just outside of Nashville, Tennessee.  I attended undergraduate college at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro Tennessee where I obtained a degree in Business Administration, with an emphasis in health care management. In my time away from school, I enjoy playing tennis and so Charleston is the perfect place for that as well as golf.

One great advantage of MUSC is the outstanding opportunities, outside the classroom, that being at a world renowned academic medical center provides.  As an MHA student, you will be able to gain experience and collaborate with professional of other disciples in a wide variety of medical settings.  You will also have the opportunity to intern with, job shadow, and be mentored by some of the nation’s most prominent health care executives.

As an out of state student, I was concerned about how well I would be able to acclimate into Charleston.  However, it is such a friendly, inviting town with such a great quality of people (many of whom college age) that I have been overwhelmed with social activities.  Whether you like the beach, history, or the downtown feel, there is something for everyone in Charleston.

I chose MUSC for graduate school because of the national recognition and academic favor it enjoys.  As one of the top programs accredited by CAHME, our MHA students are some of the most competitive in the nation for job placement and academic fellowships.
