Kris - Physician Assistant Student Ambassador
Hi, my name is Kristopher. I was born on the beautiful island of Jamaica and grew up outside of Miami, Florida. I remain a huge south Florida sports fan, especially the Miami Hurricanes, GO ‘CANES! I also became a “dawg” when I attended The University of Georgia where I graduated with a Business degree. I am passionate about fitness and nutrition and love being outdoors as much as possible. I am married and have a curious, social, and active 1 year-old son who keeps me busy when I am not studying!
It is important for all incoming students to know that Not only do you build close relationships with your classmates, but with the faculty as well. The professors here are personable and truly care about each individual. The College of Health Professions also advocates for an interprofessional community, so I have had the opportunity to work and learn with other program within the College of Health Profession.
One of the best parts about Charleston is being able to go to the beach on the weekends for a study break!
I chose MUSC after a positive experience at an information session. The current students were genuine about their love for Charleston, the school, and the PA program. The program is unique in that you have the opportunity to work in a cadaver lab and do your clinical rotations in underserved communities. I hope to use my education in Physician Assistant studies to work in the field of sports medicine, orthopedics, as well as mission contribution.
