Orientation Dates:
Monday, Aug 24 - 8am - 4:15pm
Tuesday, Aug 25 - 8am - 2pm
Thursday, Aug 27 - 11am -1pm

  • Business attire is required Dress Code
  • Check in: College of Health Professions, 151-A Rutledge Ave, Charleston, SC 29425 (in the Atrium)
  • Bring your laptop with you both days of orientation

Student Health Insurance - All students are required to have health insurance. Follow this link to set up an account or to waive coverage.  You will need your student ID number (starting with "900") found in WebAdvisor.

Immunizations - students are required to submit documentation of immunizations at least 4 weeks prior to starting coursework.  Obtaining the appropriate documentation can be time consuming, so please, begin gathering this information now.

Welcome! On behalf of our faculty and staff, I welcome you to the PhD in Health and Rehabilitation Science program. We are pleased to have you join our community here in the College of Health Professions.

Important new student orientation activities will be held Monday, August 24th thru Tuesday, August 25th, followed by a PhD lunch meeting on Thursday, August 27th from 11am - 1pm.  Plan to spend these days with us learning about the college, program and each other.

We recognize that arriving on campus and getting started can be a bit overwhelming. Peruse these pages to become familiar with upcoming deadlines, procedures to get you established on campus, and more. If you have any questions, or problems getting started, don’t hesitate to call us.  Again, congratulations and we look forward to seeing you very soon.
