Physician Assistants (PA) are providing care in many clinical situations wherein they will encounter acutely sick and or injured children. The knowledge, skills and attitudes required to provide effective pediatric emergency medicine (PEM) has grown significantly since PEM was recognized as a specialty by the American Board of Medical Specialties. This CME is designed to offer additional educational resources to Physician Assistants throughout the United States. We hope it will be advantageous to enhancement of PA competencies in PEM.

This educational experience is unique because there are no deadlines for completion of the materials. Learn at your own pace when you have time and are ready to assimilate the information.

The modules are divided into four topical areas of PEM:

  • Critically Ill Child (6 Credits)
  • Psychosocial Issues (5 Credits)
  • Infectious Disease (4 credits)
  • Pharmacotherapeutics and Toxicology (6 Credits)

Within the modules you will find videos, interactive clinical cases, powerpoint presentations and short quizzes.
