Whitney - Occupational Therapy Student Ambassador
Hi! My name is Whitney Weigold and I am from Cary, NC. I majored in Psychology at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill.
A fun fact you should know about me is that I studied abroad in Madrid, Spain for six weeks last summer.
The College of Health Professions is dedicated to helping their students succeed. The professors are completely devoted to their students and provide them with all the resources they may need for success! Charleston is a WONDERFUL place to live. It’s important to balance work and play time in graduate school, and Charleston definitely has lots of fun things to do. You can eat in a restaurant featured on the Food Network, tour historic downtown or kayaking in the harbor-all in one weekend!
I chose MUSC because I was so impressed with the faculty’s dedication to their students. Their focus is on providing with all the resources you need to excel in your studies and enter a successful career. MUSC is unique because of its emphasis on interprofessional development; here they teach you how to work with students in other colleges on campus as a healthcare team, rather than as individuals.
I feel truly lucky to have the opportunity to complete my journey towards an occupational therapy career at such an incredible University in an equally wonderful city!
I am happy to answer any questions you have, email me.
