Dana - Anesthesia for Nurses Student Ambassador
Hi! My name is Dana and I am an Anesthesia for Nurses student. I am orginially from Murrells Inlet, SC and attended both College of Charleston & St. Josephs College of Maine. Something unique about me is that I have a black belt in karate!
I chose MUSC because it is a prestigious and established University that is founded on great values. The Anesthesia For Nurses program prepares you clinically and academically for what to expect as a CRNA- there are numerous clinical sites, SIM lab, cadaver lab, and the professors are very approachable and willing to help in any way. My plans for the future in this profession include being active in our National Association (AANA) committees and continuing my education as a CRNA. You really have to have a passion and drive to be the best you can be in this profession. It is a lot of hard work, but it pays off when you get to do what you love.
Something that I think that all of the applicants should know about applying to MUSC is start working on your application early- it takes a lot of time to get your documents together and your references, and you never know the problems that may arise!
You should know that Charleston is a BEAUTIFUL city! There are so many great restaurants, a great bar scene, many attractions, and beautiful weather!
Please feel free to email me if you have any questions! Good luck!
