Nurse Anesthetists Traineeships

The Anesthesia for Nurses Program offers a course of study leading to a Master of Sciences in Nurse Anesthesia degree. All students are registered professional nurses who wish to pursue an advanced nursing degree and work as Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA). Program grant funds are disbursed equally among 25 second-year students. It will be used to assist 25 students with the cost of tuition, fees, and textbooks.

Advanced Education Nursing Traineeship Program

This grant provides support for students enrolled in the Anesthesia for Nurses Program in the College of Health Professions. The Anesthesia for Nurses Program prepares nurses to provide anesthesia care for patients undergoing surgical procedures, invasive diagnostic studies, and chronic pain management. Students enrolled in this program are predominantly residents of the state of South Carolina, a largely rural or very rural state, with most every county designated as partially or completely medically underserved.
