Underrepresented in Medicine Students

The Visiting Elective Program (VEP) is a joint sponsorship by the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) College of  Medicine’s Dean’s Office and the Office of  Diversity. The goal of the program is  to recruit talented underrepresented in medicine (URM) students to MUSC that have met all requirements for visiting student electives. The program provides support for fourth year students (African-American, Native American, Hispanic and Pacific Islander) to participate in  rotations throughout MUSC. While gaining experience in their selected disciplines, visiting students have access to the MUSC library, the Center of Academic Excellence and other student facilities, as well as to various educational programs and seminars.  http://academicdepartments.musc.edu/com/diversity/programs/VisitClerkshpBrochure.pdf

MUSC does not currently have an international exchange program.  We will not accept any applications for clinical or observership experiences from international students or graduates.
