COLLEGE OF MEDICINE
Guidelines to Support Entrepreneurial Activity
The College of Medicine is an advocate of the campus-wide initiative, under the university’s strategic plan, to create and sustain a culture that is supportive of entrepreneurialism while promoting an ethical framework for these pursuits. As we encourage our faculty to become more entrepreneurial, it is important that we provide guidance regarding what activities are appropriate. In response to this need, a group of faculty and administrators drafted “Guidelines to Support Entrepreneurial Activities” for faculty in the College of Medicine. Those guidelines have been vetted and approved by the Dean’s Advisory Committee, the university attorney, provost, and university conflict of interest officer. For a copy of the guidelines please click here.
As MUSC continues to develop university-wide policy with respect to entrepreneurial activities, these guidelines will be in effect for faculty within the College of Medicine until they are superseded by other university policies or guidelines.
