A critical element of MUSC Excellence is "communicating at all levels." The Communications Team is working to ensure that all employees are aware of the specific efforts stemming from the initiative, as well as the progress made as we move forward with MUSC Excellence. Harvesting "Wins" and promoting them, communicating the current focus of the given Service Teams, and keeping all College of Medicine and UMA Employees informed are the key consideratiosn for this team. One simple way to communicate wiht employees is through Communication Boards. These boards display critical data and communicate to all staff how the organization is progressing toward the goals or targets of each pillar. Covering the content of the Communication Boards during staff meetings reinforces the importance of the information and our organizational commitment to Excellence. | What: | | Communication Boards are used to provide updates on initiatives and progress towards reaching our goals on our journey to MUSC Excellence. | | Why: | | The COM/UMA MUSC Excellence Communication Team wants to ensure that we are sharing timely and consistent information with all of our staff. | | Where: | | All boards are posted in department/division areas visible to all staff. | | When: | | Monthly Updates are posted at the end of each month in the Updates Section. | | Who: | | Each area has a designated Board Liaison who is the point person for maintaining the communication boards. | | How: | | Guidelines for board content are developed by the Communications Team. Communication boards will have regular audits by members of the MUSC Excellence Communication Team and designated staff. |
