Opened in 1924 at a cost of $1.5 million, The Francis Marion Hotel was the largest and grandest in the Carolinas. Named for General Francis Marion, the “Swamp Fox” of the American Revolution, the historic Francis Marion Hotel has a long tradition of gracious service, elegant accommodation and splendid banquet and meeting facilities. Rising 12 stories above the historic district, many of the Hotel’s 232 guest rooms and suites offer spectacular views of Charleston ‘s church steeples, antebellum mansions and famous harbor. The 2010 S.C. Linda B. Floyd Campus Safety Conference group conference rate is $129 per night, plus daily tax.  These rates are guaranteed for February 16, 2010 through February 21, 2010, based on availability at time reservation is made.  Individual room cancellations must be received no later than three days prior to arrival.
