The Division of Biostatistics and Epidemiology was founded over 40 years ago in one of the oldest medical universities of the United States (circa 1824).
The divisions location within the Department of Medicine creates an environment that continually provides practical problems for study. The combination of biostatistics, epidemiology, a collaborative unit, and clinical trials design provides a synergistic environment for faculty and students to actively pursue cross-disciplinary methodological and applied research.
