Biography
Dr. Bach is a 1971 graduate of Clemson University. Born and raised in Maryland, he attended the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. He completed a 1 year general practice residency and a residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in the U.S. Army in from 1978-1982. He completed a fellowship in Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1991. He has been Director of Residency Training in Advance Educational Programs in General Dentistry and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery during a 20 year career in the U.S. Army Medical Department. He was consultant to the Surgeon General for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and has a faculty appointment at the Uniform Services Medical School at Bethesda Army/Navy Medical Center.He is a member of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and has been an examiner for the board for the past six years. Currently, he is Professor and Chair of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the College of Dental Medicine and Chairman of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.  He is head of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Charleston, South Carolina. He has been Director for the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Training Program since 1995.
