Dr. Lybrand graduated with honors from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry in 2003. She subsequently completed a two year residency in general dentistry at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. Following this training she completed a four year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. After a brief stent in private practice in Monroe, North Carolina, she joined the faculty of the oral surgery department of the College of Dental Medicine at MUSC as an assistant professor. She is a diplomat of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery as well as member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, South Carolina Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. In her free time Dr. Lybrand enjoys watching Tarheel basketball as well as outdoor activities including kayaking and cycling.
