During his tenure as chairman, Dr. Rivers shaped the Department of Oral Rehabilitation into one of the most successful teaching programs in the country. He dedicated his life to the dental profession and made it better for all of us. Dr. Rivers played a tremendous role in shaping the lives and careers of those of us who are fortunate enough to count him as a friend, colleague, teacher and mentor.

Dr. Rivers is not only highly regarded for his expertise in our profession, he is also famous for dishing up some fantastic southern barbeque!   Thank you, Dr. Rivers, for all you have done for the College of Dental Medicine.  You will be missed!
