James B. Edwards College of Dental Medicine
Suggestive Elective Courses
Advanced Zoology or Botany
Anatomy, Physiology, Histology, and Pharmacology
Courses in computers/information technology, business, finance, or accounting are also strongly recommended. Applicants should successfully complete as many science courses as possible to prepare for the DAT and dental school curriculum.
Each science course requirement includes two hours of laboratory work. The biology/zoology requirement may be satisfied by taking four semester hours each in zoology and botany but not by botany alone. Introductory college courses will satisfy the English and math requirements.
