Electronic Transcripts Electronic transcripts are welcomed by MUSC. If your prior college registrar can send transcripts electronically through the national service at the University of Texas, Austin, please request your prior college to direct documents to MUSC's Enrollment Management.
Sending Transcripts to MUSC Use the "Transcript Request Form", available within the application, or send your own request to the registrar of each institution. Be sure the registrar follows the instructions printed on the request form. DO NOT OPEN THE ENVELOPE that contains the document. If the registrar will not give you an official copy, explain this in a note to MUSC's Enrollment Management office and have the transcript(s) sent under separate cover.
Final Transcripts Final transcripts showing completion of work-in-progress and/or degree awarded must ALSO be sent to Enrollment Management and must be received no later than the end of the first semester of your enrollment. Failure to do so will result in your disenrollment at MUSC.
Prior or Current MUSC Students If you are a prior or current MUSC student, we will print your MUSC transcript internally. You need not send a transcript request form to MUSC.
Transcript Retention Should you not be accepted, transcripts submitted to MUSC will be retained for a period of one year to assist you in reapplying. After one year, transcripts are destroyed and official copies must be resubmitted.
Special Waivers Transcripts from institutions where the applicant did not earn a degree may be waived with special approval if the coursework was taken more than 20 years ago, and the applicant is applying to a program that requires a bachelors degree. If you meet the above requirements, you may submit a petition for a transcript waiver to oesadmis@musc.edu. This is not a guaranteed waiver.
