Degree Verifications Available Online
The Office of Enrollment Mnanagement has announced that the Medical University of South Carolina is now affiliated with the National Student Clearinghouse DegreeVerify program. Through DegreeVerify, employers or background screening firms requesting verification of a student's degree or credentials can now access this information 24 hours a day, seven days a week, through the web site of the National Student Clearinghouse at http://www.studentclearinghouse.org.

Over 10,000 MUSC records have been loaded to the DegreeVerify database. DegreeVerify will significantly reduce the workload that degree verifications formerly placed on the staff in the Office of Enrollment Management. Staff are now able to devote more time to fulfill other areas of student needs.

The National Student Clearinghouse is a non-profit organization founded by the higher education community. The first year launch of their DegreeVerify program saw the participation of 100 higher education institutions. In addition, 99 other institutions have signed on to participate in the upcoming year.
