Description
The Master of Biomedical Sciences in the Department of Regenerative Medicine and Cell Biology focuses on training graduate students to become teachers in the field of anatomical sciences. The students enrolling in this program will have to take several courses as determined by their curriculum committee in the following areas: gross anatomy, cell biology, embryology, histology and neurosciences. They will be required to serve as teaching assistants in at least 2 basic science courses and will have to take the teaching technique course offered through the College of Graduate Studies. Finally, they will have to propose, perform and present a project of educational value in the field of anatomical sciences.
Requirements
In general applicants are required to have a cumulative GPA of 3.0, a competitive GRE score, and a baccalaureate degree. Additional requirements can be found at http://academicdepartments.musc.edu/esl/bulletin/gradstud/.
Application Process
In addition to the application itself the applicant must complete supplemental reference materials specific to the program to which they are applying. These forms are available in PDF format within the application and are also sent through email once an application is submitted. Applicants are required to submit official transcripts from each post-secondary school attended and all materials must be received by the application deadline.
