The Department of Pharmacology offers a graduate training program providing its students with the intellectual foundation and research tools for making original contributions to the understanding of how drugs and other chemicals affect living processes from the molecular/cellular to the organismal levels. Research areas under investigation include cancer biology, drug development, cell signaling, proteomics, pharmacokinetics and toxicology. In general applicants are required to have a cumulative GPA of 3.0, a competitive GRE score, and a baccalaureate degree. Additional requirements can be found at http://academicdepartments.musc.edu/esl/bulletin/gradstud/.
In addition to the application itself the applicant must complete supplemental reference materials specific to the program to which they are applying. These forms are available in PDF format within the application and are also sent through email once an application is submitted. Applicants are required to submit official transcripts from each post-secondary school attended and all materials must be received by the application deadline.
